Airport-Link prices high on hit list

21 May 2009
Sydney Morning Herald

THE high cost of taking the train to Sydney Airport has come under fire again, with calls for the NSW Government to renegotiate the contract with the private company that runs the airport and surrounding stations.

Scott Lennon, a partner in the Sydney office of PricewaterhouseCoopers, told the Reclaiming 1st conference yesterday the high ticket prices were deterring passengers.

"The fare premium is scaring people away," he said. "We need to renegotiate the fares at airport stations."
